According to a release, Etihad Rail and Uber will research how people migrate between cities in the United Arab Emirates, including journey lengths and distances. Additionally, they want to look at how people go to and from well-known locations like bus stops and metro stations. By merging efforts, passengers’ transportation will be improved, Etihad Rail added.

Additionally, Etihad Rail and Uber will look into methods to combine their services, including the potential for setting up unique spaces for Uber users to pick up and drop off at train stations. This will facilitate passengers’ ability to organize their travel. They also intend to make Uber’s services available in additional UAE cities and regions.

From Al Sila to Fujairah, Etihad Rail’s passenger rail network in the UAE will link 11 cities and areas. With trains capable of 200 kilometers per hour, travel times between emirates will be drastically shortened, allowing for quick and simple trips.

It will take commuters 50 minutes to go from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, 50 minutes to get from Dubai to Fujairah, and only 100 minutes to travel from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah.

Making Transportation Between Major Cities Easy

Both locals and visitors are looking forward to the Etihad Rail project. A 1,200 km railway network will link Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Oman. Once it runs, the train service will accommodate about 400 passengers. Offering speedy and practical travel options, it will run between 11 cities and regions in the UAE. For instance, travelers can reach Dubai from Abu Dhabi in about 50 minutes. The trains will offer a relaxing and delightful ride with top speeds of 200 kilometers per hour.

Additionally, there are a variety of amenities available to passengers onboard the trains. The carriages will have Wi-Fi, entertainment systems, and charging ports. No matter if they are visitors, workers, or families, it will meet their demands. The train will also work with current public transit systems, including buses and the metro. A unified ticketing and travel planning system is being developed. 

The UAE’s transport network will become even more accessible and effective due to this integration. Both businesses seek to address complicated transportation issues, avoid congestion, and reduce pollution by utilizing technology and studying passenger behavior and movement patterns.
