Where can I ship on the Etihad Rail network?

Etihad Rail’s network spans across the UAE from the border with Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman. The network will eventually connect maritime ports and industrial zones across the emirates. These include Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Fujairah Port, Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD), Ruwais and Kwaifat. Effectively connects major industrial ports of the country. The Etihad rail network will connect to the planned GCC network, crossing borders with the country’s GCC neighbours.

Now, cargo can be transported from the Saudi Arabian border to the Omani border.

Etihad Rail is one of the most exciting developments in the UAE’s future since it will create new travel alternatives. According to a new video that Etihad Rail posted on Twitter, the UAE’s network is complete.

“We have taken important steps towards connecting the Emirates through the UAE’s National Railway Network from Al Ghwaifat all the way to Fujairah,” the caption reads. “Inspired by the spirit of unity and the guidance of our leadership.”

The two-and-a-half-minute video includes scenes of tunnel construction and track installation. The railway is now only utilized for goods. Thus, anyone wishing to ride it must still wait.

The video highlights several significant accomplishments, such as nine tunnels with a combined length of 6.5 km, 593 bridges and crossings, tourism advantages worth Dhs23 billion, and 120 million cubic meters of excavation work. From the Saudi Arabian border to the Oman border, Etihad Rail’s 1,200 km network spans the United Arab Emirates.
